Dear Neighbour...

I’m Lorraine Hall and I was delighted to be elected to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in May 2019.

I'm originally from Cootehill in Co. Cavan and live with my fiancé Conall on the Upper Glenageary Road. Dún Laoghaire is home. Like you, I love our area. I am delighted that you have given me the chance to work for our community so we can enjoy a thriving town centre, place a much greater emphasis on protecting our environment, be guaranteed clean, well-kept footpaths and roads, and feel safe and secure when we're out and about.

I work in Ibec so I know the challenges and opportunities we face in local business and the economy. But as a young woman with bills to pay and very active in the local community, I also know that a good life is about more than economics. It’s about community, kindness, how we look after each other and mind the environment we share. These are the values that make life worth living and that as your councillor, I will work to highlight and foster in our community.

Before Ibec, I worked as a Special Adviser for the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Heather Humphreys TD, a Press Adviser for the Minister for Justice and Defence, Alan Shatter TD, and a Policy and Research Officer for former Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD. I have a lot of experience dealing with policy and legislation and helping people with issues of concern.

Over the next five years, I will represent you, your family and our area to the very best of my ability. Thank you for your support. If you’d like to get in touch, you can reach me on lorraine@lorrainehall.ie

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Best wishes,

Lorraine Hall
